This is an application for a temporary water budget increase in order to establish new landscape plant materials. An approved application will provide a three week exemption to daytime watering restrictions (10 am - 6 pm). A permit is not required, but will be delivered if requested below.

The request for a temporary water budget increase will not be accepted during a drought.

This is a request for a temporary increase in the water budget this year due to either significant new landscape installation or major landscape repairs.

Available ONLY in April/May or September/October with the exception of community sports fields. Due to high use, community sports fields may require additional major repair during the summer to keep the field in safe playing condition.

Only one temporary increase in the water budget is allowed per year with the exception of community sports fields.

Water usage in excess of the assigned water budget, including the temporary increase, will result in higher rates as an incentive to using water wisely.

The information contained in this form is subject to audit. Should an audit be necessary, applicant agrees to provide acceptable documentation of the landscape installation or major repairs in the form of copies of receipts of the granting of access to the property for inspection by Highlands Ranch Water.

Exemptions from outdoor watering restrictions and temporary water budget increases for the establishment of new landscaping are not available during Stage 1, 2, or 3 Drought. Drip irrigation and hand-watering trees, shrubs, perennials and vegetable gardens are allowed at any time if a hose is held and equipped with a shut-off device. We strongly encourage customers to delay installation or renovation of lawns until drought conditions improve.
